Welcome back to all of my students. We have several new faces in GATE this year. It is going to be a great year. I am looking forward to all of the fun activities we are going to do. It is going to be our best year EVER!

Stock Market Game

We have new leaders this week in our Stock Market Game!  The Stock Stealers, Morgan, Megan, Kamri, and Naya, have pulled into the lead.  They are currently ranked 8th in the region.  Girl Power!

Making Papyrus

Our third and fourth graders learned about papyrus and how it was made.  They used paper, flour, and water to try to recreate the look and feel of papyrus.  Fun.....but messy!

Egyptian Scribes

Our third and fourth grade class have been working on our ancient Egyptian unit.  We recently learned about Egyptian scribes.  The students had to sit in a seated position on one knee for several minutes as they practiced using hieroglyphics. 

Stock Market Game

We have begun a new round of the Stock Market Game.  We have 9 teams competing.  Several teams have been working hard to maintain their rank.  The team with the best rank this week is the Cyber Stockers.  They are currently ranked number 7 in the region.  There are 62 teams competing in this round.
